Memories of Cayenne
...Read more about Cayenne on Gwendolyn's page.
8/19/2020: Cayenne came into my life a few months after losing my dear Gwendolyn. He had his dixie cup on his head when I received from around Thanksgiving. A little girl saw him at the campground and asked if he was a pilgrim. So, he was from then known as the Pilgrim Puppy. Cayenne and walked possibly hundereds of miles on Volksmarches all over Virginia and some in PA, NY and MI. All that time together walking as a pack formed a bond so strong that it's difficult to put into words. The household misses Ky. He was stalwart and stohic. He help our rescue Mini Schnauzer, Freddie feel comfortable and safe. And when my mom left us and we accepted Sophie into our pack, he helped calm her anxiety. We all miss him so much.

Be back soon Ky, to tell more of your lovely walk in this realm. Missing you and loving you, Heide xoxo.

PS. I know Uncle Jeff was there to meet you as you crossed Rainbow Bridge. He loved you so much! We miss all of you.

2/9/2022: Hello Ky...I love you and miss you so much. So many times I look across my desk to see your soulful face staring back at me in a photo I have of you. You touched my life in more profound ways than I can express. I'm so grateful to have had you in my life. Freddie is getting on in years and has learned how to be a better companion to Sophie. Sophie is still anxious but she is more confident now. She really misses you too. I miss you and my mom and Uncle Jeff and Madison and Kahuna. It's been a rough couple of years. With the loss of Mom, Jeff, and the plandemic. But I have met a nice man and believe it or not, we are engaged. He's learning to be a dog person. I miss you so much. I was so blessed to have you in my life. My heart cries out to you...until we meet again. Take care of the others especially mom... she loved you too.

8/31/2022: Hello Ky...I still miss you so much. I hope you met Freddie as he crossed over Rainbow's bridge in June. We were in Arkansas and he was not doing well. He was a very good boy too. Mike and I are now married and we are traveling more. Sophie is doing well. I have to carrier her in a bag when dogs aren't allow (ssshhhhh - don't tell anyone?) She has too much anxiety to stay alone. Well...I hope to see you all again. Until then, you are in my heart on on my mind. Oh! thank you for visiting me the other day...you knew I needed to stroke your head and feel better about something. I love you forever. xoxox Your Mama and Sophie.
