Memories of Chip

We wake up each morning hoping to see your head resting on the side of the bed. We listen from the clicking of your paws on the tile floor. We look for you peering around the counter as we make dinner. We look for you through the window as we walk up to the front door. We look for you sleeping so peacefully between the closets. Your nose doesn't show up at the shower door to check on us. We don't see you lying in the grass under the warm spring sun with your glowing coat. We miss your kisses. We miss your smile. We miss your playfulness. We miss your love. But, we know that God sent you here for a season to brighten our days and teach us things that only you could. There was never enough time Chipper but I am thankful for the time we had. And I am thankful that you allowed me to be your father here on earth. Thank you for loving us even when it seemed like we were not loving you. Have fun until we get there and keep on smiling like you did here on earth. Please stop in sometime and bump the doors or leave something so that we know you are okay. We have left your bowls out so that you will have a place to eat and drink and you will find some of our favorites memories of you there. We can't wait to see you in Heaven and don't forget......we love you now and forever.
