Memories of Clyde Boy
My Clyde Boy, my "Big Boy," oh how I miss you so much. July 6, 2022 was not a day I thought I would lose you, you were only 9 years young. It was so unexpected but who am I to decide your fate? You were my protector, my bedside buddy, the first dog to come into the kitchen when you smelled food cooking--you loved your food oh so much. Papa overfed you with treats every day, you were overweight, but you still ran fast out in the yard. When you were just a puppy, your original owner physically abused you and, as a result, you suffered a fractured right hind leg. You were rescued from your abuser, taken into foster care and then I adopted you 8 years ago. You had a loving family and we treated you as one of us. On July 4, I gave you, Koko and Tiny a bath and the next day, had your nails trimmed. How was I to know that that would be your very last bath and your very last time to the groomers? You must be the cleanest dog at Rainbow Bridge! Look for Kimo up there. Hug him for me.

Dr. Lei's office called this morning to say your ashes are there; I will pick you up on Monday with Tiny who has his annual visit with the vet. I can't wait to bring you home where you belong.

Kook and Tiny have been looking for you since you left us. They sense something different and are very sad. We are grieving your loss, but 5pm will heal. Love you much, my Big Boy.
