Memories of Coach Kitty
| I miss your 6AM wake up meows and your being there when I get out of the shower. The water no longer needs to drip all day and the dog misses the few extra pieces of your food you flipped to him. Your special touch on the keyboard of the computer and your knocking things off my desk were treasures only we share. Your funny Persian face and huge golden eyes will stay with me forever. Coach: It's Mother's Day 2003 and a new baby arrived for us to love. Don't worry, she will never replace you and your picture will always be on the refrigerator and on my desk. Her name is Maggie for Miss Blue Steel Magnolia and she is a blue mitted ragdoll. I couldn't get any kitten close to you, your coloring, your face or your eyes. I've told her about you and she knows she has some mighty big shoes to fill. I hope you will like her and know you are still my baby. Maggie is still with us and sleeps in her bed by my head just like you used to do. I love reaching over and having a soft furry kitty like you were, always there. We are getting a new puppy this summer and I sure am glad you won't have to be bothered by him. Maggie will keep him in his place and let him know that kitties still rule around here. |
