Memories of Dakota Joe (Cody)
Our sweet boy came to us when he was 6 months old. He traveled with us in our motorhome until May, 2022 when we sold our motorhome. He had never lived in a house and was so comfortable and good wherever we were as long as he was with us. Four years ago, we found out Cody had Cushings disease. He took his medicine and was responding perfectly until we realized he wasn't seeing everything and didn't always hear us. After testing, we discovered he was going blind and deaf. The tumor, caused by Cushings, was the reason.
Yesterday was one of the hardest days in my life as I had to put my sweet boy to his final sleep. I know he is free now and can run, see and hear with his brother Max. He had unconditional love even though he came from an abusive breeder. He has a very special place in my life and heart. Until we meet again, my sweet boy, run with the wind. I love you yesterday, today and always. Mom
