Memories of Emma
Dear Emma,

You're the best dog I could ever ask for in the history of the world. I love you so much and you have been so helpful and created so many fun and cherished memories in my life. There are so many memories you have created that I will never ever forget. Some of my favorite include all the times we did your favorite activity, swimming. Every year we had a sort of competition to see who would be willing to go in the pool first when it was opened and still cold. When you came along, you won that competition every year. You would always love to sit on the steps and try to drink all the water in the pool. The best thing would be when you swam after a chew toy that we threw in, or if you saw Mom or Dad swimming in the pool when you would chase after him so they could hold you. My favorite thing was when you would always try to get your torpedo from underwater and stick your head in the water and freak yourself out even though you couldn't reach it. The first one in the pool from now on will unofficially be dubbed the winner of the Emma Award. This is just one of the countless fun activities and adventures we've had.

One thing I will miss most about you is how you unconditionally loved everyone. Whenever I felt sad, upset, or stressed, or everyone else was upset with me, I knew you would always be there to love me and give me a big hug and kiss to make me feel better. I will miss how you would rest your head on my thigh to beg for food. I will miss chasing after bunnies with you when I would take you outside after school. I will even miss chasing you when you take off after one of our neighbors. But most of all, I will just miss you being around. You have been the most constant, pure, and comforting thing that has been with me all along since I was 7 years old. I will miss you hanging out with whoever was around, I will miss you plopping down right in the middle of our board games and card games. I will miss being able to just pet and love you whenever I walked by you in the house.

I hope I was as good a brother to you as you could ask for, because you are the best dog I could ask for. I hope that I made you happy and helped give you the best life ever. I just want you to know that you are so, so loved by the best family ever, and that we will always love you and remember you. I love you so much and I'll miss you more than anything. You're a good girl. I'll see you soon Emma lou.

Love,

Your brother Eric ❤️❤️❤️❤️
