Memories of Gertrude
| Over two years later and we still miss our big baby so much. Lillie, our new giant, gets mistaken for our old Trudy, especially when she does something sweet! Lillie doesn't mind. Everyone still talks about Gertrude. She was the neighborhood dog, welcomed in every home, patient with every child. We rescued her at 3 months from a family who didn't understand the "giant" part of the Giant Shnauzer breed. One look in her eyes and there was no going back, and we never wanted to. We were blessed from the day we were led to her, and she found us. Gertrude, you will always be with us in our hearts!!! |
