Memories of Hallie
|
Hallie was my beautiful bluepoint siamese kitty. My husband Larry picked her out for me 18 1/2 years ago. We had her only a few days, and decided she needed company. We went back to the same place, took her with us and she picked out Nick to come home with us. He was 2 weeks older than she, and from a different litter. They were fast lovers and best friends. They were so sweet together, and never left each others side. Sometimes they actually moved in unison like one. They were the most awesome kittys we ever had. She was small, spirited, sweet, chatty and beautiful. Nearly a year ago, we lost Nick to kidney disease after a long brave battle on my birthday. She was so brave and strong, and she persevered. Just 4 months ago, I lost my wonderful husband Larry to leukemia after a long brave fight. Hallie has been my rock. I could not have gotten through any of this without her. She also had kidney disease, and we just recently learned that it was complicated with severe diabetes. She never complained. She was always cheerful and upbeat. She could no longer walk, due to arthritis in her hind legs. We had been doing acupuncture for the last 3 months trying to help her with that. It did releve her pain. She was a little angel in kitty's clothing. To know her was to love her. We used to take her and Nick camping with us, and they loved it. They were great little travelers, and very social. They were always the center of attention at the campgrounds. I don't know what I will do without her. Her loss takes loneliness to a whole new level. She was my little love, and now the house is sooo empty!! I will love you forever my baby girl. I take comfort in the thought that you are happy and healthy again with Nick and Daddy. Mommy
