Memories of Kali

Kali, your mommie is having a hard time without you. You helped her through the tough parts in her life, and shared with her the happy moments. You welcomed her husband Jeff as your Daddy and loved cuddling with him watching football. You were one tough kitty tolerating other family members and friends only because your mommie and daddy liked them. But you still had a big invisible sign Do not touch me, only my mommy and daddy are allowed. I remember driving across country with you, sneaking you into hotel rooms and coming back only to find you sitting in the window. You are probably the most travled kitty in the world. You accepted your new sister Mo as your little sister loving her. She gave you energy and kept you with us for a bit longer. When MoMo was called to rainbow bridge you gave into the pain that you had kept hidden from your mommy. Mo Mo paved the way for you to go were you could play and be with your little sister free from pain. We love and miss you Kali. But we know you and Mo are together and your spirit is now free to come and go as you wish. No Boundries. Kali, your legend will always live on. The norwegian forest cat with a growl that could make a grown man tremble, your haughty stare, and those of us lucky eneough to be allowed to touch your silky head. Go play with your sister Goddess Kali, your job protecting and comforting your mommy has been passed on to your daddy Jeff, You would not have left if you did not think your mommy was safe and loved. Good Job Kali, Good Job. 03/18/2011 Dear Kali, It's so hard not having you here with me. I miss you so much kitty girl, from the white spot on your chest to the long hair on your toes. I met you my second year of college and so much has happened since then that I feel like we grew up together. You were my closest friend. Thank you for staying with me as long as you did. I didn't know how much pain you were in until MoMo left us and I'm sorry. I hope that you have found Gunny and you are showing him all of the best sleeping spots. 11/05/2011 I can't believe that you've been gone for a year. I wonder what you are doing now... are you chasing Mo and telling her you're still the boss? Are you giving Gunny a bath and teaching him how to stick up for himself? Maybe you're trying to find ways to steal marshmallow peeps. The memories of your sweet snuggles, your whiskers tickling my face as you purred me to sleep, comfort me when I'm sad. We miss you so much Kali, but we see you everyday in Nico and how she teaches her new sisters the things you taught her. Please also visit Gunnery Sergeant Clooney and M0-Mo.
