Memories of Kiwi

Kiwi was introduced to me as 4 mo. old kitten during a previous marriage but at a time I really didn't want a pet. It only took minutes for me to fall in love with her. I instantly bonded with her and have tons of video during her first year to prove it. She became my little girl from then on. Even the dissolution of that marriage couldn't break our bond as I insisted on caring for her. All throughout Kiwi's 14.5 years, she remained healthy and loving. It was only a couple weeks into 2012 did her health decline rapidly. At her age, I was realistic that I didn't have much more time with her. I comforted myself knowing that most furbabies don't ever receive the love and attention I fawned on this little lady. Since I never had children, she was it. My little princess. For memories sake, here are some of my fondest moments with Kiwi: - Yelling her name from under the covers until she meows repeatedly and tries to locate me. - Throwing "cookies" across the room and watching her hop to get them. - Watching her lounge in front of the fireplace, taking in the warmth from the fire. - Finding and occupying anything I'd set up for work or play (see photos below) - Being awaken by a swat to the head because she wanted to get under the covers. - All the naps she liked to take on my chest while I laid on the sofa.
