You were the best boy anyone could ask for. Our bond was a very special one. I can't believe you are not here anymore with me. You were always so happy to see me when I would return home from work, errands, etc... You loved your occasional cheeseburger and always wanted more. You lived up to the "Retriever" in you by always bringing me something in your mouth anytime you greeted me. You loved to play go find it and could sniff out just about anything. Your little brother Milo misses you and is adjusting with Mommy's help and love. I hope you're running all around and playing your heart out as you did so long ago. Now your legs are not weak and don't hurt anymore. You are restored to your youth. I know you had to go and I could not make you stay as much as I wanted to. You closed your eyes forever in your most favorite place to be, the car. I guess you decided it was the right time and place. I think about you every day and miss you so much!! Mommy and Milo love you forever and a day. We will all be together someday to cross the Rainbow Bridge together forever. 02/14/2012: Happy Valentine's Day my Beloved Valentine! I missed giving you your Valentine's Day treat this year as I did so many years before. I received a beautiful framed picture of you for Valentine's Day today. It made me cry but it's beautiful just as you are. I hope you're having a wonderful Valentine's Day and got lots of doggy valentines! Mommy misses you very much! But, I know you probably know that. Milo misses you too! He has a new sister which I have been meaning to tell you about. Her name is Gracie and she is another Golden like you. Of course, she will never be you! There is only one Nikko! Some of her mannerisms make me think of you. Well I love you bunches and miss seeing that sweet face of yours. I love you my Beautiful Boy!!! 05/14/2012: It's been 6 months since you have departed this earth. I still miss you every day. I find myself looking for your sweet face when I come home every day. I know you are having a wonderful time where you're at. I still can miss you and wish you were here with me though. Milo misses his brother. His little sister drives him crazy, just like he drove you crazy...karma. I reach out for your paw and long for those many paw shakes. I miss kissing that face of yours too! Play my dear boy, Mommy knows you are OK. I just get sad sometimes. If you get a chance, send me some doggy love my way on occasion so I feel better knowing you're doing just fine. I love you! XOXOXO.
