Memories of Oy-Oy

He was a precious surprise gift God added to our lives in January 1998, as i was running in a public lake house park, near our home...He came out from under a car, a tiny little black ball of fur, stood up on his back legs and began to follow me as i attempted to begin my run. I was completely amazed as i looked behind me, to see him coming after me. i took him to the car where my husband and little girl were escaping the cold after playing in the park. There was another lady who wanted to take him home, but he had other plans..he jumped out of her arms and into our open car door, whereupon he took up residence in my daughter's lap, while she was secured in her car seat. He took up permanent residence in our hearts from that moment...Subsequently, our family went through many difficulties, moved many times, and sadly ended in a divorce...but what remained was our mutual love for our daughter and all of our love for our precious, loving, loyal Oy-Oy..He was with us no matter how many times he was uprooted from his house, and moved to another. It is said that cat's choose their owners, clearly that is true. For no one family could have loved him more and no other cat could have tolerated all he did...being moved so many times. He took part of our hearts to heaven with him today, where we will doubtlessly be reunited with him, at HIS glorious appearing. Remember this today, Oy-Oy...You are loved and you will always be our baby. We will see you again, and make up for all the kisses and hugs we are missing today. Jesus, we trust you to take good care of our precious little buddy...God bless you Oy-Oy and keep you in your beautiful, happy new home, till we get there.
