Memories of Penny

My Sweet Penny came into my life when I had Retired from Life...She was the one and only constant in my life...She made my heart smile each and every day of the 6 years, and 7 months that God Blessed me with the Gift of unconditonal love.. She was the little girl and Child I never did have.. We did everything together and she came everywhere with me...Loved to Dress her up, she was a little fashion Diva and known all around town and the Best Dressed Little Doggy..Who adored her Mom.Most people did not know my name, I was Penny's Mom and could not have been Prouder or Luckier. She loved to sit in her window perch for hours and observe what was her little world...All the neighbors loved her and she was adored by everyone she met, from the pet shop owners to the bank and post office workers, the mail and UPS Lady, everyone loved Penny... She would sit Regal in her Car seat, all dressed in her coat on chilly days and loved to go to the park..She also loved to be in her carriage for longer walks, as this past summer as she became ill, I took her there in her carriage Daily, as she was too weak to walk, but loved the fresh air...and still had her bright eyes and sweet face.. She battled her way back to me for a few months from liver disease and amazed her Doctors with her strong will to bounce back and come home to me one last time to spend 2 more months with me and one last Thanksgiving where she rallied and was her old self... She even waited for me to be there at the Vet one last time to hold her and send her back to God, she left this life knowing her fate was always safest in my hand... My heart is broken, and she took a part of me with her on Saturday....I need to believe I will see her on the Rainbow Bridge, and she will run to me and give me her very special kisses....We walked over two bridges over a Lake Daily for over 6 years....I like to think it was always our little own Rainbow Bridge here on earth, and she now is on God's Rainbow Bridge waiting for me to push her again in her Blue Stroller..... They say our Pets are here to carry us through a certain stage in our lives, and once they know we have turned the corner safely, they ho home to God to rest until we meet again.... Penny has been by my side during a very dark time and came to me when I had given up on life, she taught me to love life again....Now, it seems as my life is coming into focus, she left, but, she gave me the strength to love a new puppy in her honor , that I just know was sent from Heaven directly from my Penny Angel.....
