Memories of Perseus

You (Perseus) were one of the best dogs I could have ever asked for. He was my baby Shadows puppy and one of the last remaining survivors of his little family to pass away. He was a gentle, lovable, sweet angel who gave me fourteen wonderful years, until I had to put him down on my birthday on the 25th of November in the year 2011. When I had to put him down it felt like my world ended and I'm sure his buddy Princess felt the same. We love him and miss him very, very much. Princess and I treasure the days we spent with you even though I got to enjoy his wonderful and loving companionship many more years than she did. I remember when you used to be a professional fence climber and I caught you two yards away, but I will never forget the day you got out and I thought I lost you and then three hours later me (Gram Gram), Ron, and a Cicero cop found you wandering around, out and about the neighborhood. I was so happy! Princess misses sleeping with her buddy every single night and sharing bowls of Gram Grams left-overs. Sorry you were so sick and didn't get any turkey on Thanksgiving Day. Putting you down was hard and even though it still hurts it was what was best for you and I had to think about your quality of life, but at least now I know you are no longer suffering and you have crossed into Rainbows Bridge with the angels and you are happy now and playing with all of your family. Before you got so sick you used to love to play with your buddy Princess and the mountains of toys that Princess still enjoys even though its hard for her because her buddy Perseus is no longer with us. When someone would tug on the "Big Guys" nose, which was the nickname we gave to you, you would make the cutest face and growl and snap. I remember before you got so sick when you could still get on the bed you would sleep with me every single night and you would also scratch your head on my Christmas tree, until one day you finally knocked it down. Remember when we used to live in the old house and my sister Mary Kizior and Larry Thompson, who is now her husband were there and you jumped on the kitchen chair and because the chair's had wheel's on them you rolled across the kitchen to the fridge. The look on your face was classic. Your mommy Shadow, sister Andromeda, and daddy Arrow used to live there too. You are now with them at "Rainbow's Bridge". Before our mom died she could never tell you, your mom, and your sister apart. We all love and miss you "Big Guy". Love Gram Gram, Princess, Ron, and Michael
