Pete was the loyal companion who licked my daughter's face when she came home from the hospital as a newborn. He is a legend who will remain with us for eternity. Now that he has been gone almost a month, I thought I wouldn't cry when I miss him; but I still do. As the months go by the loss doesn't decrease. I love him so much. 8/1/06: Today is Pete's birthday (the day he joined the family) I wrote in my journal today about how much I miss him. I even thought of him at Jiffy Lube because he was with me during an oil change a few years back. Pete, I love you so much. Pete, today is Dec. 12, 2006 and Mo just joined you. Please greet her with a great big lick and show her around. I hope that she has regained her eyesight and hearing since she is now in heaven. You have a family member with you now.......Pete, it's been 2 years since you left us. The joy you brought us keeps me going during the sadness of your loss. On the third anniversary of your passing, the longing to see you is as strong as ever. I dream about you and keep a journal when I want to be with you. I love you, Pete. I hope you and Mo are hanging out and having a great time. August 1, 2008: Pete, Happy Birthday to my Mr. Muffin. You rock! December 20, 2008: I visit you on the 4th anniversary of you leaving us. When the Christmas tree is up I think of you walking up to it in slow motion as if you are having a spiritual moment with it. You did some funny stuff, Mr.Muffin. I love you and miss you. Mary August 2, 2009: I love you Petey Boy!
11/19/09: Pete, Lady joined you on Tuesday, the 17th. I know you and Mo were waiting for her and gave her a big kiss and hug. Show her around and make sure you tell her how much we miss her. I have comfort knowing you both are there with her. I love you guys. 12/20/09: Pete, 5 years ago you left us and I miss you just as much today as that very first day. I LOVE YOU! 8/1/10: Happy Birthday, Buddy Baby Boy! I love you and miss you always. 11/5/10: Pete and Mo, how are you guys?
11/17/11:Pete and Mo, will you guys give Lady a big kiss from me? I'm sure she'll return the favor.
12/20/11: Pete, it was 7 years ago you left us. I miss you just as much today. You rock, Mr. Muffin. I love you. Please also visit Lady. |
