Memories of Sahara

To those who didn't know her, she was the best dog ever. Forever loyal, & just as loving. She was our baby girl. Our first child. It seems like we had her forever, though it was only 5 years. I've been looking for a way to have some kind if closure. Some kind of peace. I think I have found it here. Sahara, baby girl, its only been over a month since you left us. I still think of you every day, especially when you're not there in the morning, and when I get home. And when I don't hear you and the cats playing in the middle of the night. I would give anything to be kept awake by you now. I'm still so angry at that person driving the car that took you from us! The neighbor saw it, & said they never stopped! I'm so sorry baby. At least the neighbors stayed with you. We still blame ourselves some. I should've brought you inside earlier. We should've checked for damage to your kennel more often. Can you ever forgive us? Knowing you like I do, you never blamed us. Liberty & Galaxy miss you in their own way. They can tell you're gone. I wish you could be here when your human baby brother is born in June. You would've been a great big sister! I wish you'd come see us somehow. To let us know you are ok. But I bet you're too busy running around playing with all the other animals. I hope your happy & having fun. Watch over us, girl, like you always did. Daddy & I love & miss you. We will be together again someday. p.s. Don't eat any of the kitty's food. Love you... 3/8/12 Hi baby! I'm SO VERY SORRY I haven't visited you. I feel so guilty, bc its been a year. I've never forgot about you even a day. I just got so busy. Your human lil brother arrived a month early on June 4th. I really wish you could be here with him. You'd be so good with him... His protector, his playmate. He will know all about you, believe me. Your pics are still out n always will be. But he has kept us so busy frm day one. But its worth it. Another thing.... we've finally brought another doggie into our lives. He was a stray, and looked so sad, and needed us. We couldn't turn him away. I hope you are okay with this. I wish you could let us know somehow. But he's a good dog. Just needs mire training. I feel a bit guilty bc I can't get close to him. He's not you. I want to make room in my heart for him. But it'll take time. He will never take your place in my heart, but I'd like to make room for him. He's a hound/rottie/sheppard type mix. His name is DOG, pronounced Dee Oh Jee. Unique we thought. You'd like him I think. Daddy and I miss you so much. We always will. Love you baby. I will return again. By the way, your lil brothers name is Noah James. Kisses. Also, I hope you like your duckie. I know its not the talking Aflac duck you liked so much, but I thought you'd enjoy it.
