Memories of Shwa-Shwa

Shwa-Shwa was picked up as a puppy, by us, at the Key West pound in April of 1994. He stood up on the fence and peed. It was love at first sight. He never destroyd anything or did any of his business inside and he was easy to take care of. All he wanted was to be near us, which goes for us with him as well. He has been everywhere with us (including Finland, DC, Daytona Beach FL, Ventura CA, and now Panorama City CA PLUS he drove with us across the country 5 times)He was always a tough dog but the best things in life was his stuffed animals, food and lots and lots of sleep. He had a brain tumor removed in July of 2006, which was a devastating event. but he went thru it and survived. A little slower than usual, but still as much love as before. He was without seizures for a year and a month and that is when we found out he had another tumor in his brain. Still going strong for about 8 months after that but then it was a fast decline. He was our best friend and we miss him more than anybody else. The house feels so empty without him. It is really hard for us and we will never stop loving him and we will see him again on the other side when it's our time. We still say "we'll be right back and be a good boy" when we leave the house, and we expect him to be on the couch when we come back. We miss his sighs and his begging and laying his head on our laps. Saturday April 26 It's been a month and 10 days or so.. We still think of you and really wish you were here. Your picture is on my computer screen and I tend to pet it often. Josh can't even look at it it makes him so sad. Every now and then I still think maybe you are just at the vets and will come home soon. I wish that was the case. It hurts so bad. I hope you are doing good and have made some friends that you can sleep all day with. I know how you like that..find a nice sunny spot, I will be holding you in my mind.
