SUMO's Rainbow Residency

Memories of SUMO

It is with the total sadness of our hearts that we write to let you know that our son, Sumo, has lost his battle with the insidious disease called cancer. We loved him with all of our hearts. He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last September and given 4 to 6 weeks to live. Through vigorous treatment and diet and wonderful veterinary care and most important lots and lots of love he was able live a full, fun life until yesterday when he could no longer fight and keep the cancer at bay. We refused to let him suffer. I always told him I would never let anything hurt him. What was always most important to us was that he live a healthy fun filled life, full of happiness, love and no pain.
We are full of sadness and despondent beyond words. He was the last of our family of Boston Terriers. The only little boy that we've ever had. His Grandmother Boots, his Mother Scamp, his sister Booger and now Sumo are all gone. The sorrow and emptiness we feel inside cannot be described. They have been our life for over 22 years.
We miss him so much but we know in our hearts that he is in no pain, healthy, running and playing with his Grandma, Mom and Sister now. They are all together and happy, patiently waiting for the day when we will all be together again. We loved him so much and will continue to love him forever.
