Memories of Theo

Theo - I feel like it was destiny that we met -while there were so many wonderful cats to choose from at the shelter, you found me and reached to be picked up - when I saw you, a tiny, beautiful black cat, my heart melted immediately. On the day I came to take you home, I'll never forget your running into the lobby with a bright blue collar and practically leaping into my arms as if to say "I"m ready to get outa here!" Even though we only had a short time together I'm so glad to have met you. We tried so hard to make you feel better and I'm so sorry we couldn't because I looked forward to many years together. But that wasn't to be. I know you are now healthy and running free over the Rainbow Bridge and have met your "uncles" Cosmo and Cody. Your friend Orangey misses you as much as I do and doesn't understand why you went away. Each pet is special in his or her own way and I know I'll have other wonderful pets in the future. But I can't imagine a more loving or sweet fur friend to have than you. I'll forever miss your sweet purring, curled up on my shoulder each night, or you running to greet me at the door, always ready for hugs and kisses - but I'll treasure our time together and feel blessed to have known your loving, gentle soul. Peace and love always little Theo. Mom and Orangey August 2008. Hi little Theo -- can't believe it's been 2 years since you passed over the Rainbow Bridge. Much has happened - I have two new fur friends - Fiona - who is a loving, sweet calico I rescued a couple of months after you left; and Jasmine - a sleek, black kitty who reminds me so much of you - she's sweet, playful and even reaches to be picked up like you did (did you teach her that). Your uncles Orangey and Roameow are also still on the scene stopping in for kitty pats and snacks while they forage in the neighborhood and compete to be top kitty. I wish you and Jasmine could have met and played together - but I know you are at peace and forever young and healthy and for that I am grateful. Take care little friend -- Love, Mom September 2009. Hi Theo -- it has been 3 years but I still think of you often - especially when Jasmine leaves her toys in the water bowl - or reaches out to be picked up - just like you did. I wish you could be here to play with Jasmine, Fiona and the boys -- they all get along so well and I have to think it's because you are watching over them, teaching them to be the sweetest little kits they can be. I've been working at the shelter where I adopted you and we recently lost another sweet kit to FIP - so hopefully you've met Harry and shown him how to romp and play over the Rainbow Bridge -- Peace and love as always little Theo -- Love, Mom and your cousins Jasmine, Fiona, Orangey and Roameow
