Toe's Rainbow Residency

Memories of Toe

This is the note we sent out to our Dog Park Friends,

It is with great sadness that I tell you we said good bye to our beloved Toe late Sunday night. His inter vertebral disc disease had worsened and he was in a lot of pain. Letting him go was the best thing we could do.

Toe was an amazing dog and gave more love that he received. He was an important part of our family and was the best dog ever. There will be other dogs in our lives, but there was only one Toe. He was David's heart dog. He was my inspiration for helping build the Alum Creek Dog Park. He is the reason I got to meet everyone on this email list.

I know Toe is at the rainbow bridge - running fast and free, eating all the ice cream he wants, is leaning on the angels, showing off his tricks and teaching the other dogs how to count.

I want to thank OSU Vet Hosp, especially Tracy Marsh, Dr Hannah Minch and Kate Churchill for the great care and love they gave him (and us). Thanks also to Greyhound Adoption of Ohio and his foster parents Greg & Angie Gomez for giving us such a great dog.

Dearest Toe, we miss you and are eternally grateful you were a part of our lives. We will see you again my sweet boy. Jds Toe In 8/18/97-3/27/11
