Toesie's Forever Prayer Dear Lord if you have time to spare, Please listen to my feline prayer. I want to thank you for my time, It's gone so quickly, this life of mine. Thank you for my loving home, Food to eat and a house to roam. For those who go without, Please watch over them, don't leave them out. And watch over Rusty, my trusted friend, With him I wanted my life to spend. My body is tired, it's end has come, Thank you Lord, please bless everyone. Your faithful friend, Toesie She was a very sweet cat, never scratched the furniture and always used her litter box. She traveled well in the motorhome and acted like a mom to Rusty, our orange and white tabby. We really miss her and are looking forward to seeing her again at Rainbow Bridge. She got the name "Toesie" because she had 6 toes on her front paws. We inherited her from my wife's son 5 years ago. He was getting a divorce in Santa Cruz, CA and we were living in Portland, OR. She was put in a carrier and flown to Portland. When we took her home we opened the carrier and left it in the bedroom. A little while later we heard a "pitter patter" on the kitchen floor. Toesie was out of her carrier and exploring the house. About 5 months later we wanted to get her a companion so we went to the Cat Adoption Team in Sherwood, OR and adopted a 10 week old red mackeral tabby with white who we named Rusty. Toesie adopted him after a bit of hissing and they became pals.
