Today, when I drove in the garage, I almost expected to hear you at the door and see that curly little tail wagging. I miss you squirt! The day I had to give you up was absolutely the worst day of my life. I can still see the pain in your sweet little eyes...a little clouded now but still bright and expressive. We both knew it was the best thing. That nasty little tumor got the best of both of us didn't it? We went through a lot in our years together...from DC to Chicago, and then New Mexico. All the time, you tolerated the changes and embraced a new adventure. You were perfect in every way. Dad's thinking about getting another little one but will wait until you direct me to the right one.
