Tuxedo

by Gina T..........................................

Today I am reminded of the rainbow bridge that my big black and white cat Tuxedo walked over just yesterday. He was 12 years and 3 months old. Can you believe that he lived outside all those years?? He had been ill for about the last week, not eating and having difficulty breathing. Even though I am still in the "Why?" phase of grieving, neither his doctor or I have any explanation.
He was born in the garage in a cardboard box with another brother and two sisters, none of them looking like one another. As they grew, their own personalities emerged. Tuxedo was sometimes a bully, but sometimes a loving father-figure to younger kittens. He was always a talker and was quite smart.
We will miss him very much. I'm not sure what's harder...loosing him or wondering how is living sister and mother feel.

Comments would be appreciated by the author, Gina T.
