PEOPLE AND PETS 5-15-09 People and pets aren't supposed to leave us but they do. Sometimes it seems they will be around forever and ever. And perhaps they are. I know we are all connected. The universe works that way. When one door is closed, another one opens and we walk through, if we are healthy. The river of life keeps flowing. No matter how we wish and hope for it to stop, it keeps on flowing. I heard it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. I know this is true. Sometimes it takes all the love in the world to let go. God pulls out all the stops and showers memories upon us of those who've passed either by death or circumstances. God gives and he takes away. I wish I were more enlightened to realize everything is a thought form. That the only thing "real" is the present moment. Perhpas I am enlightened because I know you all are gone and you've flowed on to another place. While I with my tears am trying to accept this fact. What is - is. In this moment, I accept the grief...it is what it is. I accept that you are never coming back. It is what it is. But you are energy that takes a different form. And in that form, you are never gone. You are a part of my present as surely as the sun rises and sets. You are a part of me and what is - is. |
