Your heart was undoubtedly swelled by our love for you, big-voiced black purrer, washer of Baron's face, kneader of stomachs, watch-cat, seeker of warmth: fire, soft blankets on Roberty's bed, Stephanie's bottom drawer. You waited for us, groomed us, played with us, and in the end, you broke our hearts. The big heart is not always a strong heart, and the silence of yours is deafening. You will always be in ours: remembered, loved, missed. |
