A hole in my heart

There's a hole in my heart, where they used to be.
They're not so much different, from the ones you all love.
I cherished everyone moment, every lick, every nudge.
It just wasn't long enough.

I said goodbye to you both and the anguish set in,
I knew better though, you were both comfortable in heaven.
I will never forget the laughter and joy
I will never forget your endless love.


This is for my girls. Sanja, my eight month old Redbone Coonhound who passed away June 19th 2010 and Explosive Brew, my twenty year old Thoroughbred mare who passed away October 24. They were both my life and best friends, and taught me so many things about life and love.
